IS THE NATION MEDIA GROUP ON ATTACK?

It is merely days since Tony Kago, a former Nation Media journalist, was shot on Sunday night at his gate in his Rongai home by armed gang who had waited for him. The speculations went on, the nation mourned but it faded in the air very fast because another grief was crippling in the space yet to engulf the country.

Before we even end the week, A senior staff working with the Nation Media was Thursday night rescued by police officers in Ongata Rongai after a five man gang carjacked him as he entered his home in Nalepo area. It is reported that the gang drove him about 300m away then abandoned him after they sensed danger, probably an alert that police were after them.

Linus Kaikai lost his phone and money, probably amount withheld during the incident. The police have vowed to get the assailants and open for them the pages of justice.

But the worry remains, is the Nation Media Group on attack?

Is there something amiss somewhere?

Why these sequence of events within such a short time?

As we await for the police investigation, it is my hope, just like any other Kenyan that soon enough the arm of justice shall catch up with these.
